As one of our distinguished honorees once said, “The impact of investing in a child’s life, in both small and large ways, says to these children and their families that somebody else is aware of their troubles, understands their basic needs, feels they are worth bothering with, and truly cares about them. If a child – no matter how troubled – can carry that experience around in his heart, that feeling of being worthy of love and care, then that child will have a shot at having a happy and fulfilling life, regardless of his limitations.

Over the years, the Knights of York have helped create educational opportunities for adults and children with autism and developmental disabilities, to make financial contributions to help children succeed in life despite being financially challenged, and cope with illness and psychological recovery.
